be a listener, be encouraging, be grateful, be happy, be here, be honest, be inquisitive, be positive

Welcome To Kinetic Imprint

Welcome to Be Here Be Positive Be Happy, the official blog of the website Kinetic Imprint. I hope you’ve had a chance to take a look around the site and see what this place is all about. If you haven’t, go ahead. I can wait. kineticimprint.com

Or, if you’d rather, you can check out the full site later, and I can give you a synopsis now.

As the second anniversary of my mom’s passing from cancer approached, I wanted to find a way to turn the focus of my memories from painful, because of her absence, to positive, because of all she gave me while she was here.

I decided to start a website inspired by some of the qualities my mom embodied. Qualities I try to embody myself in my quest to live a happy life and have a positive effect on others.

My mom made a huge imprint on me and I wanted to find a way to continue to put some of that energy back out into the world, now that she is no longer here to do it herself.

The idea behind the term kinetic imprint, is the imprint you are making on your world and the people around you is constantly in motion. Every decision you make, big and small, has influence – on you and others.

It’s not your accomplishments or the size of your bank account that makes you a great person. Your attitude toward life, how you treat others and how you make them feel, that is how you will be remembered.

I hope the imprint I leave on my world will be as influential as the imprint my mom left on me.

One of the earliest ways my mom helped shape me into who I am today is by instilling a love of reading in childhood. One of her methods was taking me to our local library. In an effort to encourage a love of reading in future generations, I will be donating some money to our local libraries in my mom’s name. Check out my project:library page to find out how you can help.

As for this blog, instead of standing up here at the podium during this meet-and-greet, pretending I have a plan, I’ll take a page from The Be List and be honest. I don’t so much have a plan with this blog, as much as a simple idea.

Sometimes I will write a full original post for kinetic imprint, sometimes I will share a post I have written for my personal blog (maybeyoucanrelate.com), and sometimes I will write an introduction and then pass along a link to something I have found on the web that I think you’ll like. The format may vary, but the theme will be the same. Posts will somehow relate to the concepts in The Be List.

Posts will be positive, or happy, or make you laugh. They’ll be about something interesting, or they’ll make you think. They’ll be encouraging, or they’ll be about gratitude.

My bottom-line goal is that you always leave here feeling better than when you came in.

There won’t be any particular posting schedule. I’m just one person with two blogs and a full-time job, who also likes to sleep. I’ll post when I have something to share.

I just want to be another positive voice on the web, promoting other positive voices whenever possible.

If you would like to receive email notifications when I post something new here, you should see a Follow button on the bottom right of the screen, or you can click the Follow Me link in the menu above for more information.

Thanks so much for stopping by and giving me some of your time. I hope you come back again!

  1. I am so sorry about your mother, however I think that you are brilliant to honor her life in this way!! I am sure she is smiling!! When someone close to you passes, they say now you have an angel you know by name. This is beautiful!! Keep it going!!!!
